1. Introduction
Card Technology Services (Pty) Ltd is a business specializing in plastic card and secure identification solutions, manufacturing a range of plastic card products and offering card-related solutions such as personalization equipment and software.
2. Order Processing and Delivery
- Subject to availability and receipt of payment, requests will be processed within two working days.
- Delivery will be confirmed by courier, with freight costs calculated based on the product’s size, weight, value, and delivery distance.
3. Availability and Refunds
- The provision of goods and services is subject to availability.
- In cases of unavailability, Card Technology Services (Pty) Ltd will refund the client in full within 30 days.
- Cancellation of orders by the client will incur a 5% administration fee.
- Policy regarding damaged goods, guarantees, and warranties can be provided upon request.
4. Protection of Personal Information
Card Technology Services (Pty) Ltd takes all reasonable steps to protect users’ personal information as defined in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). The PAIA can be downloaded from: PAIA Document.
5. Payment Options
- Payment may be made via Visa and MasterCard.
- Card transactions are processed by PayGate (Pty) Ltd, the approved payment gateway for all South African Acquiring Banks. PayGate uses Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) encryption, and no card details are stored on the website. More information on PayGate can be found at www.paygate.co.za.
6. Customer Details and Security
- Customer details are stored separately from card details, which are entered by the client on PayGate’s secure site.
- The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. The transaction currency is the South African Rand (ZAR).
7. Responsibility
Card Technology Services (Pty) Ltd is responsible for all aspects of the transaction, including the sale of goods and services, customer service and support, dispute resolution, and delivery of goods. We strive to keep website information accurate and up-to-date but reserve the right to change prices and negotiate terms due to factors such as exchange rate fluctuations and supplier agreements.
8. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa. The South African Courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, although Card Technology Services (Pty) Ltd reserves the right to commence proceedings in alternative jurisdictions at its discretion.
9. Changes to Terms and Conditions
Card Technology Services (Pty) Ltd may change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
10. Print Head Warranties
- All card printer manufacturers offer print head warranties that cover manufacturer defects only. Print heads must be returned to the manufacturer for inspection.
- Damage due to poor maintenance, negligent operation, or dirt in the operating environment invalidates the warranty.
- In case of printhead damage, clients must order and pay for a replacement. Credit claims will be processed by the relevant manufacturer’s country office, which may take 6-8 weeks.
- We provide quality training, consumables, and further reasonable assistance to prevent warranty issues.
